BLACK SCHOOL
(We are not working on this project at the moment. The amount of money that we receive will decide if we can afford to work on this project.)Ndabeziphezulu High School and primary school are schools in rural Zululand. They are government funded schools with little resources and large class sizes. The youngest children play with rough pieces of wood instead of toys, and the older children have to work with 1 book per class. These are the only schools that most of the local population have access to. By buying the right materials for these schools, ZULUWE will try to support the schools and improve the quality of the education. ZULUWE has a close relationship with a local community leader, (Abednig Mkwanazi) who has been involved in developing these schools for several years now. He informs us of the most urgent needs of the schools and its pupils. At present we are collecting money for:
- A new oven.
- New teaching method books.
- Extra tables and chairs.
- School uniforms for the most needy pupils
